Beverly at Ipswich

The Beverly Giants
(5-5-1) defeated the Ipswich Chiefs (7-4) by the score of 8 to 6 at
Linebrook Field Monday. Jon Trowt pitched 6 innings striking out
6 to earn the win. Bob Anderson pitched the 7th for the
save. Offensively, Kevin Harutunian was 3 for 4 with a triple,
Dan Elario was 2 for 3 with a homerun, and Mike Freni was 2 for 4 with
a triple.
For Ipswich, Dylan Durning
was 3 for 4 with a homerun and 3 RBI to lead the offense. Brad
Clarkson added a homer, and Brad Eaton doubled.
Beverly travels to Manchester Thursday. Ipswich is idle for the rest of the week.
